TULIP FESTIVAL!!!
What a day we had! Joe had forgotten that he submitted to have a 3 day weekend, so last week he surprised me when he said he had Friday off! Boy, was I thrilled, what a treat, a Friday off work with nowhere to go! The wheels started turning as we tried to think of something fun and new to do...out of our little 20 mile radius! I remembered hearing about a Tulip Festival so we packed some food and headed out at 8:30am. Our drive to this gorgeous place was just the ticket!
We couldn't have been luckier to enjoy the best weather of the year yesterday, it was beautiful! The tulips were phenomenal! It was spectacular to be driving through this little farming town, then out on the horizon we see bands of colors, red, pink, purple, yellow, white, and we realize those are the tulips! It was unbelievable all the flowers! We had such fun walking the rows and taking pictures! I'm not sure if any of the pictures do it justice, but hopefully you can get an idea of the volume of tulips and their beauty!
Gabriella also experienced a first yesterday with getting her face painted. She, of course picked a pink flower and sat so still (another first!) while the lady painted. This morning she said "oh, no where go pink flower? I can't find it" She asked me to pick her up and go into the bathroom where she said "There it is" while grinning ear to ear at herself in the mirror! I think she's gonna be real sad come bath time! Well, just wanted to share our lovely day with you all to try to convince you to come visit us next year in April so you can see for yourselves these amazing fields of tulips!!

Hair You Go!

After Gwen's 6 month appointment, I was curious to see how close Gabriella and Gwen where at 6 months. The difference in weight was 1 ounce and the difference in height was 1/4 inch. That suprised me because Gwen seems so little compared to how I remember Gabriella.
It got me thinking, that I needed to take pictures to compare. I found pictures of Gabriella at about six months, and I tried to duplicate the same pictures of Gwen. The actual difference in age is 10 days...Gwen being older. Can you tell which is Gabs and which is Gwen?

I've decided that the reason Gabs looked bigger and seemed bigger was the hair. Pretty amazing that we have two cuties huh?

Oh, What A Vacation!
We had such a great trip to Utah and Moab! First, and almost most importantly, we enjoyed sunshine and 75 degree weather, after the last several months in Seattle, just that alone made the trip worth it for me! Camping was a ton of fun, Gabs and Gwen didn't seem to notice that they weren't in their normal beds which made for good nights sleep by all of us! Joe went jeeping with the guys, but I opted out by the first day after Joe took a car full of us on a "little nothing" of an obstacle. A little nothing?...um, should we have been going downhill on our two left tires? I feel like it was my weight alone, leaning the opposite direction so hard, that kept our car from rolling! Needless to say I didn't ask too many questions about the guys trip on the "Hells Revenge" trail!
Sunday was a perfect Easter! We enjoyed a wonderful fast Sunday, Easter dinner, and an Easter egg hunt at the Chiara's. Gabs loved finding eggs and putting them in her "purse." I'm suprised she even picked up the blue and green eggs, she started out only getting the pink ones...and only wanting the pink M&M's inside! It was a fabulous day and a great week!
